On Feb 8 and 15, we had big snowfall, more than 2 ft even downtown in Matsumoto. We have never experienced such snow in 50 years.

In the next day after the snowfall, beautiful blue sky and the Japan Alps were seen.

I enjoyed skiing in Shiga Heights Ski Resorts one week after this big snowfall. The ski courses were covered with wonderful natural snow so the snow condition was perfect.
\nNorikura Ski Resorts in Matsumoto also have much natural snow and they will open until April 6th (in some places in Norikura, snow will remain until summer).<\/p>\n
